DESCRIPTION:
Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Arch Top" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike with alarm, spring-driven movement in a burl walnut case with painted metal dial, c1880.
CONDITION:
The case has been nicely rubbed down. The dial was repainted in the late 1970s. Small veneer losses along side of arch. There is a good paper label inside. Movement retains stop works. Ticks and strikes, but was not tested long term.
